Meet Jordan
Founder, Semper Fishing
For Jordan, fishing has never just been about the catch. It's about the early mornings on the water, the quiet moments between bites, and the feeling of being connected to something bigger than yourself. That connection is what drove him to build Semper Fishing.
The Story
The name is a nod to the Marine Corps motto — Semper Fidelis, always faithful. Here, it means always fishing.
Growing up in Michigan, Jordan spent countless hours exploring the state's rivers, inland lakes, and Great Lakes shoreline. Over the years he noticed the same problem every angler runs into: the information you need is scattered across a dozen different websites, outdated forums, and hard-to-navigate government pages. Finding where to fish, what's in season, and what the regulations say shouldn't require a research project.
So he built Semper Fishing — a free, independent guide that brings it all together. 44,000+ public fishing access points across all 50 states, mapped and searchable. Species guides. Current regulations. An AI-powered trip planner that helps you make the most of your time on the water.
What started as a Michigan project quickly grew. Anglers everywhere deal with the same frustration, so the mission expanded to cover the entire country — every public boat launch, pier, and shore access point we could find.
The mission is simple: help anglers spend less time searching and more time fishing.
On the Water
How It Works
Data is sourced from state Departments of Natural Resources, the U.S. Forest Service, USGS, USFWS, and publicly available mapping datasets across all 50 states. Regulations are updated as new state fishing guides are released. Always verify current rules with your state wildlife agency before heading out.
Not Affiliated
Semper Fishing is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or funded by any state DNR or wildlife agency. This is an independent project built by anglers, for anglers.
